Phillipians 4:13 I can do all things through he that strengthens me. God can make the impossible possible. The reserection of Jesus shows us that their is nothing beyond God's power for healing and redemption through faith and trust and love of him. Nothing is beyond God's power to make a diffrence, not even death. Their is ALWAYs hope. My prayer is the same for all people which is- I pray that you know God loves you and has a purose for you (amazing plans),  I pray that you may become and be inspired to be all God created you to be in his image. I pray that you may be able to change the world into what God wants it to become. One can be confident if one trusts the Lord and that whatever your past, together with God anything is possible. This is the best news ever, the Word (bible).  I pray that you may have God very close at hand, that he will give you a hope for all you are and all you can be created in God's image. I pray that God will give you courage for you to have dreams that  transform the lives of those around you for the better. We are an Easter people and Halllejuah is our song. Jesus is risen, Hallejuah. God Bless

Christ is risen!!! The power in those words, amazing. When the disciples first heard of their Lords death and reserection, they hushed it up, kept it to themselves, and swept it under the table. However, the news is to great to keep to ones self, it must be shared with all those around you. The life of Jesus unleashed into the world because of Gods love for us. Christ's reserection allows one to take on lifes complexities and uncertancies with a daring and living confidence that you are in God's grace. The risen Christ goes ahead of you and meets you in the most suprising and unexpected places. His reserection puts us where God wants us to be, right in the middle of a world full of pain and suffering. Because Christ is risen we have a message/word of hope to those weary of loss of a loved one, loss in general, to those who are fearing death. It is assured that nothing can seperate us from the Love of God in Christ Jesus. The Life of Jesus, God's own life has burst into the world restoring what was broken between God and Man. The barriers we errect to divide us will be torn down. For those who live in porverty, in fear, to those who feel unworthy, the promise is given that you are no longer strangers, but are citizens with the saints and members of the houshold of God. Jesus has taken away your sins, through his mark, as his blood (the perfect and sinless Lamb) we shall no longer need to fear anything. We are saved by Christ Jesus, who brings us to new, abudant, and everylasting life. God Bless

Good Friday, Why Good? This is because God is in it with
us and for us. Restoring and doing that which we could not do for ourselves,
making us Children of God. Have you ever looked at a situation and just wanted
to cry, let out all the emotion? Imp positive most of have had moments where
our stomach turns, our heart aches, and we just don’t know what to do. Imp sure
many of us have seen others suffer at some point in our life. The question is
how far are we willing to go to make it right, how far are we willing to go?
How far are we willing to go, just how far? The Word tells us God is in it with
us, he to weeps at the suffering of his creation, his people. The son of God
Jesus took part in the heartache of the world to save us. He permanently became
human and at first in life had to rely on his family to take care of him. God
in his riches became poor for our sakes, stooping really low, coming as a
carpenter and to serve, and investing in us. Jesus came to this earth to put
things right once again, to restore what was Brockenbetween God and man. Jesus dying on the cross went
farther than anyone than anyone has done to put things right. Jesus took upon
himself, all the wrong doing, pain, and anguish of the world (sin) and broke its
power forever. There is no where God won’t go to make things right, even death
holds no fear, even hell holds no fear. As he has shown us, with Jesus there is
a way through everything we face. Good Friday is the remembrance of the day that
good overcame all the evil in this world. Whatever we may face we give thanks
that Jesus is in it with us and for us and he is not just their to comfort us
but to show us the way that leads back to God. In the cross reveals in essence
what is means to be God. All power belongs to him by right, through self
sacrifice and not through self service. God Bless.

And the Word became flesh … the scriptures tell us .And a weary world rejoices … the hymn sings to us. Familiar words comforting words Christanese words we’ve sung, said and heard (many of us)for as long as we can remember …maybe even before we can remember. This is not just something that happened 2000 years ago but as words that are for us – but words that change lives just as they did back then: they are about this time, this place, and this moment. Because, my brothers and sisters, the world we live in is too weary, the challenges we face are too great and the opportunities we have are too enormous for us to claim anything less than resurrection. In joy of the promise of what we gather to celebrate with our prayers and our praises, with our hymns (or contempory worship music). And the Word became Flesh not because the world was sane or anymore ready for it any more than the world is now or that more people had ears to hear in first century Israel than it is in 21st century United States. There is a world filled with hate and violence, yet there is a light, that light is Jesus. And that, my brothers and sisters in Christ we celebrate the resurrection, because we are saved  and free-free  from slavery to death, to sin, we are free to stand up for what is right, freedom to be all we can be created in God’s image. It is a longing that transcends culture, religion, language and custom – this is salvation through Jesus Christ, God incarnate. He loved us enough to become human in order to show us how to become fully human, loved us enough to yearn for us to become the creatures we were created to be rather than settle for being the creatures we had become, he loved us enough to make us Children of God, love us enough to die on the cross for us when he is the sinless Lamb, the Son of God for our sins restoring what was Brocken between God and man.  We are an Easter people and our message is salvation.

The basis of this study or devotional is from John chapters 18 and 19. We want to get a complete picuture of John's passion for Christ. Johns acount leading up to the cruxifiction and death of our Lord and Saviour take a diffrent role, suprisingly enough it isnt the priestly or prothetic aspect of Christ that John highlights but that of the Kingly role of Christ our dying saviour, I say this extremely ironic since John's Gospel unlke the others doesnt give an acount for the kingdom of God. Very suprisingly John doesnt focus on his Kingly aspects until ch 18. John only mentions the word King and Kidngom 6 times prior, only 6. The previouse three are filled with these themes through and through. They explode towards the end of this Gospel though. Jesus mentions that this Kingdom is not of this world. 16 times the Greek words for King and  Kingdom are used in these two chapters. What does it mean to be followers of this King that is not of this world. Do we really have Faith because that is what we are called to do. A recent poll states that 86 percent of all United States citizens consider themselves to be Christians at some level, but less than half knew who preached the sermon on the Mount (kind of shocking). This poll also said 60 % of the country was in church last Easter yet this is the scary part 1 of 4 did not know what Easter celebrated. The questions in ultimately do we have ears to hear, do we have faith to believe it, do we believe and trust and bodly and proudly declare that Christ is our King and Saviour. Another questions is do we understand it. This is so signifigant because this helps to distinguish greatly the Diffrence between the Kingdom of God and any traditional kingdom. Pilate and Jesus dialogue sum up this diffrence...Pilate ask Christ are you the king od the Jews. He asks am I a Jew. And Pilate continues to press and Jesus says that his Kingdom is not of this world. Jesus said if my kindome was from here my followers would have fought for my life. Pilate replys Snap! you are a king then. Jesus says  basically you say I am a King and I have come into this world also to testfy the Truth! Everyone on the side of Truth listens to me. How do explain this amazing spiritual Kingdom to anyone who is asorb and lives in such a material world. My Kindom is not of this world. We as followers of Jesus must remember that our Kingdom is not of this world. Jesus is not a king of a particular people or of a parsel of land but of All and ultimately of divine Truth. This truth is not simply a proprositon to which one can ascend, but the very Gospel that Jesus's life bears witness to. A truth to which people belong. I want to share a story that relates to this situations. God calls us to be servant on our turf, to be a witness and a light to a dark world were for every 60 people that attend an Easter service, 15 dont know what they are celebrating. Perhaps your turf is the baseball diamond, recording studio, an office, the architectual firm, Car dealership, guitar shop, exc. God is present in all things and places in life and he should be in all things we do. Winning or losing, in triumphs and in tragidy. Where's your turf and does God rule you thier, is he at the center of your life and in all things you do. Not just when your winning, but also when you are losing. Not just during the triumphs but also in the tragedies of your life. Does God rule them? We are called to testify to the truth, of the Good News of Jesus Christ and the coming of his kingdom. When truth wakes us up, it also requires action. In order to proclaim and testitfy truth we must live in it Truth doesnt obey our plans and our desires, it transforms us and our plans. When we open our hearts and minds to God, we grasp the power of truth. What does this mean? At times the truth can be tough to follow but this helps us to analyze why we believe what we believe, why we have faith in Christ our Saviour, why we see things unseen, why we are children of the Most high God. It often informs us that we are to be transformed by internal conflict, we must wrestle with scripture, we must ask to the tough questions for without this we will not grow in Christ. If you want answers take it up in prayer to God, for surely he will answer you. Remember when you are struggling that it is never the last word,  the last word Belongs to God who will not abandon you. Freedom from fear: freadom from the fear of want and need, free from the fear of death, absolute freedom. Resolve to testfy to the hope that is within you (biblical reference). A truth that sets you free and perhaps even those around you. And remember whoever you are and wherever you are on your walk with Christ speak truth to power, speak truth in love, and most importantly speak truth even when your voice quivers (spelling) because that is how the Lord of all, Lord of Lords and King of Kings wants us to live. I will end with this John 4:24
(NLT) For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth. God Bless and Amen.

I think C.S Lewis was a wonderful man of God but not just because he was an Anglican but because he brought the Good News to otherwise unchurched people through his books such as his Chronicles of Narnia series. I think Lent is a good time to look  at the Gospel from an another angle one might say. These stories get us to think a fresh of Christian message by retelling the old familar and amazing awe inspiring story in a whole new framework, a completely diffrent world than that of our own, this provides us an oppurntunity to recapture what it was like when we first came to Christ. Lewis wrote quite often of Images or pictures of God and the diffrence between the comfortable and truthful ones. Lewis came to the conclusion as a young lad that god didnt exist but at the same time be extremely angry with god for not existing. While people may be dumbfounded by this is that the god he blamed for not existing is the True God Yahwee of the Christians, the only true one. No the god he was talking about was the fary godmother kind who does whatever you want him to do, a god who doesnt complicate matters by having a mind of its own, his own ideas and purpose. Nope he wanted a god that doesnt exist at that point in his life. So quite a lot of what Lewis writes in Narnia books and others is about the transition from a god that is really nothing more than a delusional fary godmother with pixie dust to the true God of all people, I am. Since the true God is real, in reality at time he can be quite threating. We sometimes experience God as threating just because he is so diffrent- because he is not a God we thought about, decided what he should do then appointed to the vacanant office in our hearts and minds. No he is the true God.

The Easter season in about meaning and stuggle, triumph through suffering, it goes beyond the claim no pain no game-Easter calls us to hold onto the hope of a personal reserection through Jesus Christ our Lord, Saviour, and Messiah, The Son of God and Man. The Story of Jesus's unmerrited death and suffering points to the ultimate struggle with Good and Evil throughout the World and everywhere throughout society. It is to find meaning in pain, it is a call to see the new life in Christ, that we are saved through the suffering and taking place of the risen Lord, our saviour. Easter claims should never be trivialised for they are truth, absolute  truth and necessary for salvation. Easter is a reminder that our Lord  died and rose again through all that pain, for the growth, rebirth, and new life of those who profess his name and put their faith in him. Everyone for the most part would concede the importance of Christian teachings in the history of USA. I think that most people in this country accept the 10 commandments as the moral framework for public life to this day, even if they ignore completely the first three. Easter is also a call to responcibilty more so than rights. Young poeple need to hear the words of our Lord and see them acted out by those who proffess the Name of the risen Christ. The message society likes to leave out is that Jesus was killed by ungodly men and that their is an evil vs good struggle. I believe this leads to moral confusion and damaging selfishness-both being damaging to ones self and thos around them. Easter Peace and salvation are real but only come at a price. Jesus can enter the heart of any-especially into the heart of the sick, suffering, the opressed, the lowest among us, the loney and degected, and  more. Now to clear up a common misunderstanding: Many in the modern world have a view of cheap grace. But real forgiveness comes from restitution, from cost, from sacrifice. It isnt God sacrificing his son in the sence most people think it is. It is his son in obiedience to the divine will and living it in a society that has gone wrong, copretely wrong (which is what original sin means BTW). It is his obiediance in the context of a corupt society that leads to his death, that is his sacrifice, and it is that restores the brocken lines of communication and relatioship between God and humans that lead to be restored. It is not that their can be no forgiveness without death but that their can be no forgiveness without cost. Jesus paid the price, the sinless one, the son of God, so we may live again. Inside each of us God has planted the seeds for a life with him if we chose in our hearts to trust and believe in our hearts in the saviour. God Bless!
